It might be time to pull the goalie if you’re the Carolina Hurricanes. Just saying. Petr Mrazek has fought valiantly for the Canes so far this series, but given how Game 2 has started in Boston, it can’t hurt to replace Mrazek with Curtis McElhinney. The Bruins’ first goal of the game was one of the weakest you’ll see in this season’s Stanley Cup playoffs.
That goal happens because of Marcus Johansson cycling it from the corner and finding Matt Grzelcyk

Mrazek tried to cut off the angle, but didn’t hug the post nearly hard enough and allowed the puck to squeak past his pads, giving Boston an early advantage.
Given Carolina is already down a game in this series, it’s a mistake they cannot afford.
