NORTH ANDOVER, Mass—Senior forward Mikyla Grant-Mentis was named the Hockey East Co-Player of the Month on Wednesday, recognizing the captain’s offensive outburst in the month of November.
Grant-Mentis had an 11-game point scoring streak, where she tallied 14 goals and 22 points, for the second-most of any player in the nation in the month, as she tallied 10 goals and 16 points in eight games, including two four point games.
On November 8, she scored her 100th career point and the game winning goal in overtime against Maine, and November 27 when she scored a hat trick against Brown. The center currently leads Hockey East in goals with 16 and is tied for third on the national goals leaderboard in 18 games played. Her 10 goals were the most of any player in the country in eight games, and had the most power-play goals in the NCAA in November. This season, Grant-Mentis has had seven multi-point games in 18 games played.
The Warriors return to action on Friday, December 6 as they host New Hampshire in a Hockey East matchup at 6 p.m. at Lawler Rink.
