Leeds Chiefs have seen their kit and protective equipment stolen following a robbery on Tuesday.
The NIHL National League side suffered a break-in which led to an appeal by player-coach Sam Zajac posting an appeal on Facebook for anyone to help find their stolen goods.
“A large proportion of the team’s equipment, including all of our sticks and a great deal of our protective equipment was stolen.
“I imagine it would be difficult for the perpetrators to sell on the stolen goods, especially if the relatively tight knit hockey community are made aware of this.
“In particular, 30 navy blue True Hockey helmets were stolen. These are the only helmets of this kind in the country, so if you come across, it is stolen.”
The post has been shared widely across social media, with fans up and down the country spreading the word in the hope the equipment can be found.
