Today, the National Women’s Hockey League named Made in America brand, American Giant, the official apparel sponsor of the NWHL. American Giant will be exclusively outfitting all NWHL players nationwide with complete sets of team-branded warmups and leisure gear.
The two organizations are united by their shared values of grit and passion. In addition to sponsoring the NWHL, American Giant will collaborate with the NWHL on gear for the league’s youth hockey initiatives – a special area of interest for the brand.
“This is the perfect alignment of two great American organizations, and the NWHL could not be more appreciative of American Giant’s commitment to our league and support of our players,” said NWHL Commissioner Dani Rylan. “Our players and staff are proud to wear the company’s high quality apparel and activewear, and to be ambassadors for such a strong U.S. brand that has become a commerce and cultural phenomenon.”
Founded in 2011, American Giant makes quality clothing in facilities across the U.S. Best known for producing the “greatest hoodie ever made,” the brand is reinvigorating the great tradition of American sportswear, while investing in people and places that matter.
“I grew up in a hockey family, and the sport has always represented humility, grit, and resilience to me,” said American Giant CEO and Founder Bayard Winthrop. “It’s an honor to work hand-in-hand with the women of the NWHL.”
