– Valentin Zhugin and Matthew Poitras scored in the shootout as the Guelph Storm edged the Mississauga Steelheads 5-4.
– Making his Storm debut, Zhugin also found the back of the net late in the second period for his first pre-season goal. Matthew Papais and Cooper Walker also added goals before Danny Zhilkin scored his team-leading fourth goal of the pre-season.
– Mississauga’s Luca DelBelBelluz, Chas Sharpe and James Hardie posted two-point nights.
– Zakary Lavoie scored the tying goal on the power play 12:41 into the final frame.
– The Steelheads outshot the Storm 32-27.
– Kirsten Welsh made OHL history, making her debut as the League’s first-ever woman linesperson.

– Shootout goals off the sticks of Abakar Kazbekov and Brody Crane pushed the London Knights past the Barrie Colts 6-5.
– Colts forward Jacob Frasca scored a hat-trick in the loss and also found the back of the net in the shootout.
– Kazbekov scored his first goal with the Knights and added two assists while Denver Barkey totalled three assists.
– Barrie teammates Ryan Del Monte and Hunter Haight earned two points each. London’s Max McCue also put up a two-point night.
